Experience La Nouba by Cirque Du Soleil before its last show December 31, 2017

 

Last night we had the pleasure of experiencing La Nouba by Cirque Du Soleil, for the first time since they opened their doors at Disney Springs December 23rd 1998. I have to admit I was a bit worried my kids, would have a hard time sitting through the 90 minute show. After all I have a highly active toddler who is two, and a Kindergartner who is five that seems to get bored very easily. Needless to say my husband and I were pretty excited, given the fact we were mentally prepared to take turns walking the kids around if need be.

When you walk up to the theater it’s pretty amazing that this 1,671-seat theater is the first freestanding permanent structure ever built for Cirque du Soleil. Set Designer Michel Crête of Cirque du Soleil, Michel Aubé of Scéno Plus, Walt Disney Imagineering, and the architects of the Rockwell group of New York collaborated on the overall design of the building.

After you buy your tickets it is really nice that you can buy concession items like popcorn, and soft drinks. And some little souvenirs right before the show, of course, the kids wanted popcorn! Once we were seated, which by the way your ticket will have your seat number and row you will be sitting in. I have to say we all were completely blown away! The show started by introducing us to “The Clowns” I have not laughed as hard as I did during the show in a long time, due to these two! Even my kids and my husband were laughing, the way they interacted with the audience, and just their level of comedy was on point. My littlest loved them so much he wanted to wear his clown nose!

From there the show opens up with an amazing array of different characters, all with different stories. And can you believe there are 14 countries represented in the 67-member cast of La Nouba. They come from Russia, Canada, the U.S., China, Japan, Ukraine, Brazil, Poland, France, Peru, Mexico, Great Britain, Australia, and Belarus. The average age of the La Nouba cast is 33.

The kids really enjoyed “The Flying Trapeze” and “The Powerpack/Trampoline” for me every aspect of the show was captivating, the costumes, the stage transformations, even the music which is all done by live musicians is incredible. La Nouba comes from the French phrase “faire la nouba,” which means to party, to live it up. I can honestly say my family and I definitely lived up the experience.

Before you leave the show make sure you head down to the boutique area downstairs next to the ticket booth. You will find some great merchandise, as you can see we loved our cups to carry with us while we are roaming around the parks.

Tickets prices start at $49 dollars, it all depends on where you decide to sit. Make sure when you head up to the ticket booth to ask them what kind of discounts they offer. Shows run every week from Tuesday through Sunday with two shows, 6:00pm and 9:00pm. To buy tickets click here

If you are going to be traveling to Disney anytime during the next couple of months, I highly recommend visiting La Nouba by Cirque Du Soleil at Disney Springs in Orlando FL. The last show before they close their doors is December 31, 2017 trust me it will be something you and the family will never forget. Disney Springs is located about a mile away from all of the Disney parks, and there is free transportation from the parks and the resorts to Disney Springs.

While you are there you can enjoy a different variety of shops, along with plenty of dining and entertainment options. We had the privilege of eating at Splitsville, and the food was amazing! Their menu offers a lot of different options, kid-friendly along with bowling and pool for you to enjoy with your family.
