We had the pleasure of going to Main Event at Pointe Orlando, in Orlando Florida. Now you are probably wondering “what is Main Event?” I asked the same question don’t worry! When we think about family entertainment, we automatically start thinking of franchises like Chuck e Cheese or Fun Spot.
As a mom, I can’t tell you how many times I am asked if I know of a place where the whole family can enjoy themselves. So when we went to Main Event, I have to tell you I was very impressed! This place has something for everyone; I went with my 2 and 5-year-olds. Let me tell you they were blown away, we were able to bowl, eat, and best of all play a lot of arcade games.
Bowling
This is great for the whole family; the lanes are very high tech every time you bowl you get different graphics on the lanes. You can also automatically set up bumpers for your kids, and you can take pictures of the whole family, which they show up every time you bowl.
Gravity Ropes
Yeah, you heard that right! They have different courses to choose from, and you and the family can do this together. We were not able to do this unfortunately since my kids were under the height limit which is 48 inches. However we saw some other families doing the courses, and they were having a blast.
Virtual Play
I was able to experience firsthand their virtual play, and I have to tell you I felt like I was playing Call of Duty on my Xbox. However this felt so real, it was amazing they have different virtual plays to choose from. I went in with a group and we played zombies, and because it felt so real I have to tell you I got scared a couple of times I’m not going to lie.
Arcade
One of the things the kids and I really enjoyed was the arcade; there are so many games to choose from! Which is great, if you go with a group of different age ranges it is perfect. One of my kids favorite was the Super Mario Cart game and the Fruit Ninja game. One of my favorites was the monopoly game.
Food
The food was very good, the menu has a wide variety and the prices are competitive with other restaurants around the area. We were able to sample their pizza, wings, salads, mini burgers, and Pretzels. The food was very tasty they offer a culinary experience featuring innovative American fare and handcrafted cocktails in a high-energy bar and Italian inspired menu at LaBella’s.
Facilities
Main Events facilities are top notch, this would be a great place to throw a birthday party, have an outing with friends, youth groups, or team builders. I really liked how all of the spaces were divided up very well, which is great so you don’t have everything right on top of each other.
Main Event is an Eat.Bowl.Play a unique experience that expands to full-service catering with private rooms, free Wi-Fi and the latest audiovisual technology for holiday parties, company meetings, team-building exercises, social gatherings, birthday celebrations, and large group events. All areas of the center are designed to seamlessly accommodate any requirement. They also have great specials throughout the week click here to see their current specials.
If you are going to be traveling to the Orlando area soon I highly recommend, stopping by Main Event at Pointe Orlando. You can enjoy an evening of fun with the whole family, from shopping, going to the movies, or going to The Orlando Improv.
