Holiday Portraits – Memories that last a lifetime

Every holiday, families everywhere try to create lasting holiday traditions.  For my family, it has always been about having our traditional Hispanic Christmas dinner and what kind of gifts we are going to give the kids.

Not this year I wanted it to be different.   I wanted to give our families something that was more valuable than presents.  I wanted to give my kids memories that they could look at and remember, and one day share with their own families.   That is why this year, we decided to take family holiday portraits.

We have not taken professional Christmas pictures since my oldest was 9 months old, so we were long overdue for some family pictures.  We have taken family pictures before; however, most of the pictures were outside, and not quite the setting we wanted for the holidays.   Looking for a photographer can be a hassle.  Truth be told, photographers can be expensive, which is why when I found Portrait Innovations, I was very excited!

We had our photo shoot this past weekend and it was incredible.  Our pictures came out amazing.  Our photographer, Kate, was great with the kids.  They had fun and she was really able to capture their personalities in the pictures.  I love that we were able to do our photo shoot with different backgrounds that we selected and that the whole process only took about an hour.

One of my fears when taking pictures, especially outside, is that my kids are very easily distracted and want to play.  What 5 yr old and 2 yr old doesn’t, right?   Having our pictures done at a studio this time around was a relief.  While we picked the pictures that we wanted and the picture ornaments we wanted, the kids were entertained with a Lego station set up in the studio.  No chaos!
