(Disclosure-I was given complimentary tickets to see in the film in exchange for my honest opinion of the movie, this post contain affiliate links.)
Ant-Man and The Wasp is one of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe films that left me wanting more. The chemistry that Paul Rudd, Evangeline Lilly, and Micheal Douglas have is truly one of a kind.
Storyline
In the aftermath of CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, Scott Lang grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Superhero and a father. As he struggles to re-balance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne and Dr. Hank Pym with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put the suit on and learn to fight alongside the Wasp, as the team works together to uncover secrets from the past.
Graphics
I recommend watching Ant-Man and The Wasp in 3-D to appreciate the level of animation the Marvel team has created. The animation of this film is incredible, and the details will leave you craving for more.
Rating
Ant-Man and The Wasp is rated PG-13. I did not bring my six year-old and three year-old to see the film; however, this is a film that the whole family can enjoy. There were very little curse words which were not that offensive. The film also has a lot of action packed scenes, yet none of the action scenes are gruesome.
Characters
One of the things I love from Marvel is that we are starting to see more female superheros emerge. Many of these female characters are no longer only sidekicks, but have a bigger role to play in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I really loved Ant-man and The Wasp because we get to see more of The Wasp, as well as her story and abilities. Evangeline Lilly does an excellent job of portraying The Wasp. I am curious to see if there will be a spin-off movie just for The Wasp.
Prepare to Laugh
The comedic puns in this film were great. I honestly have not laughed this much watching a Marvel film. I’m not saying that other Marvel films don’t have the comedic flare to them because they do, but Ant-Man and The Wasp have such a great cast ensemble, that the comedic balance is great. To say that Micheal Douglas had some really good lines in this sequel is an understatement. Micheal Pena along with Paul Rudd have great comedic chemistry as well.
Ant-Man and The Wasp hits theatres July 6th.. Trust me you will want to see it!
