Four Reasons Why Christopher Robin Is The Perfect Family Film

Christopher Robin is hitting theaters August 3rd, I have compiled five reasons why you and your family should see the film. Winnie the Pooh is an iconic character we have all grown up with, so to see him come to life on the big screen is very exciting!

Storyline

In Disney’s heartwarming live action adventure, the young boy who shared countless adventures with his stuffed animal friends in the Hundred Acre Wood has grown up and lost sight of what’s important in life. Now it is up to his childhood friends to venture into our world and help Christopher Robin rediscover the joys of family life, the value of friendship and to appreciate the simple pleasure in life once again.

I loved that in the film we get to see how as parents or even adults we tend to forget how childlike we can all be,we get to see how relatable the film is to our own lives.

Characters

Our favorite characters are back and cuter than ever! I have to say I loved that Disney kept the characters the same as when we saw them years ago. Most importantly I loved that Jim Cummings voiced Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, there voices are one of a kind that I can still remember from when I was 5 years old.  The film stars Ewan McGregor as Christopher Robin; Hayley Atwell as his wife Evelyn; Bronte Carmichael as his daughter Madeline; and Mark Gatiss as Keith Winslow, Robin’s boss.

Ewan McGregor does an excellent job of portraying Christopher Robin, I love that he can be funny yet serious as well. Hayley Atwell is another breath of fresh air to see, and I am not just saying that because I am Marvel fan.

Family Fun

With Christopher Robin the film is a family affair, which I love because the film is for everyone. You will not have to worry about curse words, or any type of sexual scenes. I have to say I was also very impressed by how funny the film was, when I first went in my expectations of the film were different. While watching the film get ready to laugh a lot, and yet also cry as some scenes are very touching to the soul. I took my three year old and my six year old to see the film, they both loved seeing these characters come to life now I get asked if our stuffed teddy’s are related to Pooh!

Animation

Disney knows how to make incredible movies, and they have an excellent way of showcasing their animation. Winnie the Pooh and our friends in the hundred acre woods have come to life like never before. When I tell you that you can literally see some of the characters hairs moving, or how well they interact with their human co-stars it is absolutely amazing.

 

 

Christopher Robin hit theaters August 3rd in the mean time you can enjoy the family activity pages to have fun with the whole family in anticipation of the film.
