I was invited by Disney to attend THE PROTECT THE PRIDE event, however, all opinions are my own.

It’s no secret that all the talk right now is “The Lion King” movie. And while people all over the world are filling the theater seats to watch, Disney Animal Kingdom is also putting on their own daily celebrations to amp up the excitement as well.

If you’re looking for some fun excitement and a lot of Hakuna Matata, be certain to check out how the Animal Kingdom at Disney is celebrating “The Lion King!”

If you’re a fan of the new or old Lion King movie, you won’t want to miss out on these fun activities at the Animal Kingdom.

Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party

Every single day is a great day to dance! The Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party is open for all ages and is held daily from 11:30 AM – 5:30 PM. Get up on stage and strut your stuff or stay on land and stick with your pride…either way, you’re going to have a dancing good time!

Festival of the Lion King

Get your tickets early as you won’t want to miss out on this theatrical performance. There’s singing, dancing and laughter and it all centers around The Lion King movie!

While there might be three shows daily, they fill up fast!

Get your selfie on

Everywhere you look at the Animal Kingdom presents a great opportunity to take some Lion King-themed selfies. Smile for the camera and say cheese!

Spot the Tree of Life

While watching the Festival of the king is important, don’t miss out on spotting the Tree of Life as well. It’s full of stories and artistic beauty that you just won’t want to miss.

These might be the main attractions happening for The Lion King at the Animal Kingdom but keep your eyes peeled for more. You never know if they’ve hidden some hidden clues or Easter eggs throughout the park that only true Lion King fans will find!
