If you haven’t tuned in to the Netflix hit, “Go, Dog, Go!” yet, you’re missing out. This is a true family show that really is great for all ages to tune in, slow down, and enjoy.
There are so many times when the kids want to watch a movie but we’re all secretly dreaded it because we just don’t like the format or the storyline or the characters, right? Well, guess what? Go, Dog, Go! is the answer to your TV viewing needs.
This is one family-friendly show that will have everyone snuggling down on the couch, excited to watch. There’s just something so fun about the characters and the positivity that will leave you all craving for more.
I was fortunate enough to do a zoom interview with one of the producers, Adam Peltzman and I was able to ask him a few questions that I was just dying to know the answers to!
Fun Q&A Session for Go, Dog, Go!
I was able to ask a few questions and get some great answers and insights as well.
I was able to ask Adam what inclined him to produce Go, Dog, Go! and he stated that he loved the book growing up and knew that it was a book that families still read to this day.
He stated that he also really likes dogs and loved that the show has a very specific tone to it that’s totally random and delightful as well.
Since the book doesn’t have a linear story, it left it open for him to create a storyline and characters and make it fun to play with as well.
I had one big question that I had to know the answer to and that was “What made you inspired to make the main character a girl?”
He said he knew that he wanted this character to be into fixing and racing and the world has seen that character as a boy a lot so it just made sense to model those traits for a girl, instead.
Adam also stated that he has a young daughter and he figured more heroes and girls to look forward to is never a bad thing!
My next question was, “Did you have in mind who you wanted for these voice-overs?”
Adam stated that he didn’t have specific people in mind but his goal was to write the characters as clear as possible and then hear and see all the options.
He stated that it was a super fun process to go through!
The last question I was able to ask was, “What is one thing that you want people to take away from watching Go, Dog, Go!?”
He wants families to take away the experience of watching it together. Enjoy it together and have fun. He hopes that families enjoy this show together in the same way like they have the book.
Adam also hopes that people take away the positives from the show as well.
From a personal standpoint, everyone in our household from age 6 up to age 81 loved watching Go, Dog, Go! The book has been around since 1961 and it’s still super popular to this day, for a reason!
If you haven’t tuned in yet, now is the time. This is literally the perfect family show to get everyone excited and bonding together! Pop up some popcorn and enjoy!
