Where are my Star Trek fans at? If you’re looking for a fun family show that you can stream the entire first season, it’s time to watch Star Trek Prodigy!
Created by brothers Kevin and Dan Hageman, this show can now be streamed on Paramount+! This is a fun series that is in 3D and does a great job at introducing everyone, fans or not, to the world of Star Trek.
We “might” have already watched the entire first season and are anxious awaiting the next one!
I was recently invited to do a Zoom interview with Kevin and Dad Hageman, and I was able to ask a few questions about the show! (while the answers below aren’t exact, they give an idea of what was said)
Q: Was there a reason that this show was created to cater to a younger audience and not more towards adults?
They wanted a show that was an on-ramp into Star Trek. There is a lot involved with the Star Trek storyline, which is why we chose to do a style that attracted young and old. Anyone new could hop onto the series and watch it and not worry about not knowing anything about it.
It’s not only for kids but also for adults who are apprehensive about it. The like it but are intimidated by it because of all the press and people worldwide who love Star Trek.
We wanted to give a show that didn’t judge people and where things would be introduced slowly.
Q: How is it working with each other? Do you butt heads?
The theme we came up with was communication, and the whole show is about that. How do you work with people from different backgrounds and survive? That’s what the show portrays in each episode.
We, as brothers, work together and find a way to do so, but in the show, the entire world has to find strength in diversity.
Pretty awesome, right? Make sure to tune in and catch all the episodes to see what EVERYONE is raving about!
