Honda Staple
The Honda Pilot is a mid-size crossover SUV with three-row seating manufactured by Honda since 2002. Primarily aimed at the North American market, the Pilot is the largest SUV produced by Honda. Pilots are currently manufactured in Lincoln, Alabama, and the Pilot was produced in Alliston, Ontario until April 2007. The first generation Pilot was released in April 2002 as a 2003 model.
The Pilot shares its platform with the Acura MDX, as well as the North American market Odyssey minivan. The Pilot’s unibody construction and independent suspension are designed to provide handling similar to that of a car, and it has integrated perimeter frame rails to allow towing and light off-road use.

Largest Honda SUV
This three-row Pilot is the largest, most powerful Honda SUV in history, with a 285-hp V6 engine. There is no hybrid version. With these updates, it is an impressive SUV that has likewise expanded its offerings to include more trims, moving upscale and with a token off-road-oriented version.
The Pilot can hold eight passengers, with a foldaway third row. There is increased legroom for the second row, and the third row gains more seatback adjustment. Adding to its tricks for 2023 is a removable center seat in the second row on Touring and Elite trims. This can space out middle riders and provide access to the third row.
The Pilot now offers Sport, EX-L, TrailSport, Touring, and Elite trims, with an available Honda Performance Development (HPD) package.
Trailsport Off-Roading Model
Fitted with front and rear recovery hooks and a trail camera, the Pilot TrailSport also features steel skid plates, all-terrain tires, and a one-inch lift over the standard Pilot. The SUV is equipped with a 282-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 and a 10-speed automatic transmission to drive all four wheels.
I had the opportunity to off road with this bad boy the trails of Sedona in Arizona, and trust me I had a lot of fun driving it. It handled very well while off-roading and I felt very safe while driving it.
The TrailSport isn’t intended to climb rock walls, travel in deep water, instead, it’s built to tackle trail systems with a difficulty rating no higher than moderate—terrain such as the ones we did in Sedona.

Safety
There are eight standard airbags in every 2023 Honda Pilot SUV. The passenger-side front airbag is a next-generation model that uses a three-chamber design with the two outer chambers made to cradle a passenger’s head and minimize rotation.
This new airbag design should minimize the potential for severe head and brain injuries to front passengers.
The new generation of the Pilot is safer than ever before, and it comes with standard front knee airbags on all models.
This new three-row midsize SUV features an improved Honda Sensing suite of safety and driver assistance technologies. One of the most important upgrades is the addition of a new camera with a wider 90-degree field of view and wide-angle radar that offers a 120-degree field of view.
Honda improved the blind-spot information system to reach 82 feet of radar range. This is helpful to ensure you don’t make lane changes when you shouldn’t, which keeps your family safer on the road.
Tech Features
The Sport trim comes with a 7-inch touchscreen that can connect to Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The EX-L, TrailSport, Touring and Elite trims have a 9-inch HD touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The Pilot has a standard digital gauge cluster and the Elite trim has a 10.2-inch display.
The Pilot can also be used as a Wi-Fi hotspot with an AT&T subscription, this can be used for wireless streaming or software updates for the car. The sound system for the Touring and Elite models will have upgraded audio with a Bose speaker system with 12 speakers. Another new sound feature is Bose Centerpoint and digital signal processing with SurroundStage that gives every person in the car an equally great sound experience.
The Pilot’s advanced safety features also get an upgrade for 2023. There’s a standard Traffic Jam Assist system that allows the adaptive cruise control to work down to a stop while still centering the Pilot in its lane. The forward-facing camera and radar have also been upgraded, with a wider field of view to better detect potential hazards.
Price for the 2023 Honda Pilot varies depending on the type of edition you get but it starts at $39k to see more about the Honda Pilot visit https://automobiles.honda.com/pilot
