2023 Honda Pilot Trailsport The Perfect Rugged SUV

The 2023 Honda Pilot Trailsport is a great choice for families. It has a spacious interior with third-row seating, a powerful V6 engine, and a long list of standard safety features. The Trailsport trim adds a more rugged look and feel, with off-road tires, a raised suspension, and black exterior accents.

I recently had the opportunity to test drive the 2023 Honda Pilot Trailsport and these are some of the reasons why I really like this vehicle.

Spacious interior: The Pilot has a spacious interior with plenty of room for passengers and cargo. The third-row seat is even usable for adults, and there’s a ton of space in the cargo area with the third-row seat folded down. Given my height which is 5’3, I have to say I had plenty of legroom in that third row, the third-row seats also fold back some more to give a bit more room and comfort.

Powerful V6 engine: The Pilot is powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 280 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. This engine provides plenty of power for passing and merging, and it’s also fuel-efficient, getting up to 27 mpg on the highway. The 2023 Pilot has seven drive modes so be aware that the gas mileage will vary depending on what mode you drive in. While I had it for the week I kept it mostly in Econo mode.

A long list of standard safety features: The Pilot comes standard with a long list of safety features, including automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, and adaptive cruise control. These features can help to prevent accidents and keep your family safe on the road. Trust me when I tell you that your family is going to be safe driving in this SUV.

Back in January, I had the opportunity to test the Pilot, and its off-roading capabilities while in Sedona,AZ. Let me tell you it did not disappoint!

Technology: The Pilot comes standard with a variety of technology features, including a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. Along with phone or tablet connectivity throughout the cabin making road trips a lot easier for bigger families.
