Not So Spooky Spectacular
The top news for the 2019 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is the brand new fireworks show. The latest spectacular takes place in the sky above Cinderella Castle, and of course, incorporates projection mapping to transform the castle and tell a story. The show is fun, but the ultimate sight is the Master of Ceremonies. Jack Skellington himself entertains the crowd from the castle stage, and he looks and moves beautifully. The show is fantastic, but it’s Jack Skellington’s’ involvement that puts the show in a class of its own, Whether you stake out the perfect spot in the hub, or indulge in a Tomorrowland Terrace or Plaza Garden Dessert Party, this show is not to be missed.
Monsters Inc Laugh Floor
Another thing that is new this year is the Laugh Floor in Tomorrowland. The show switches formats to a more casual interactive experience where the monsters of Monstropolis can learn more about Halloween from the humans who walk in. Instead of a standard show, guests will be able to wander in and leave at their own behest.
Cruella’s Halloween Hide-a-way
The Boo to You Parade is the same impressive parade we’ve enjoyed for years. It’s a lot of fun from start to finish. One new experience you should treat yourself to for the 2019 Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is the dessert party hosted by Cruella DeVille. The party includes a Town Square view of the parade from Tony’s. All you care to enjoy desserts and savory snacks make the evening extra exciting. Let’s hope Cruella doesn’t find Lady and the Tramp eating spaghetti in the alley.
Photopass Magic Shots
Photopass is something to take advantage of in events like this. The photographers are in all the best places, you can get photos with the characters you meet, and you can get Magic Shots. Magic Shots are doctored photos that have some magic infused into them. You may be holding a cartoon prop or interacting with an animated character. The best Magic Shot for the event is only available at the entrance in front of the Main Street train station. It’s an excellent idea to stop for that at the end of the night just before you leave.
Trick or Treat Trails
Don’t forget to trick or treat your way around the park. And meet rare Disney characters in Adventureland as you gather candy. In Fantasyland stop in at Mickey’s Philharmagic for a special screening of Ichabod and Mr. Toad as you follow the candy trail inside. As you make your way around the park, you can buy special treats and snacks as well, like a pumpkin Spice Soft Serve Sundae at Auntie Gravity’s.
