Four Nightly Routines That Make Bedtime Better

One of the things I have found is that having a bedtime routine is key for my kids to wake up refreshed the next morning and ready to tackle the day. For help with that process, I love shopping for my essential products at Walgreens. Not only do I love being able to go in and out of the store quickly, but I love that I know where everything is located. My kids suffer from allergies and with allergy season in full force, we turn to Walgreens for our allergy essentials. The following four nightly routines help my kids get a good night’s sleep, which helps tomorrow be a better day for all of us.

Breathing Time

Allergies can make breathing difficult because of post nasal drips, unwanted mucus, and runny noses. The first thing I do for my kids is give them a bubble bath using Johnson & Johnson Soothing Vapor Body Wash. I usually put about 10 drops of the body wash in the tub and let the kids play in the water for 15 minutes. It gives them time to inhale the vapors, which helps to open up their pores and helps with their breathing. If your kids are sick, I highly recommend using the soothing vapor wash.

Time For A Scrub

Once the boys are done with their bubble bath, I use the Johnson & Johnson Cotton Touch Body Wash to clean the rest of their bodies. I love that it is silky and soft. It leaves the skin feeling super silky even after I dry them off, which helps because I don’t have to put lotion on them.

Calming Time

The calming shampoo from Johnson & Johnson is also great. I wash their hair with it while I give them a little head massage which helps them to relax more. I always think to myself, “I wish someone would wash my hair and massage my head”! I also love that it is hypoallergenic and soft on the scalp.

A Simple Story

Before the kids finally go to sleep, we make sure to read them a story. I have found in doing so they have less nightmares or night terrors. We usually pick books that are short but that also have a good, positive message.
