Family Fun In A Toyota Sienna

I never thought that I was quite ready to be called a “minivan mom” but all that has changed since I was able to drive around in a Toyota Sienna. And to be honest, I’ll scream it loudly and proudly from the roof of the minivan – “My name is Niccole and I’m a minivan mom!”

You’re probably wondering what changed my mind about the want (or lack of want) of owning a minivan and I’ll be happy to share. I’ve never hidden the fact that I’m a car “snob” and I love beautiful, efficient, and functional cars. While I always viewed minivans as a way to the olden days quickly, that’s just truthfully not the case!

I’m happy to tell you all the reasons that I fell in love with this Toyota Sienna minivan!

It gets amazing gas mileage

I’m talking really good! It was averaging about 19 mpg in the city and about 26 on the highway. How in the world is that even possible? I know small cars that don’t even accomplish this so I was definitely loving that fact for certain. The fewer times that I have to spend money filling up at a gas station, the better!

There’s room for all of us and more

I can’t tell you how big the interior is. We could fit in like 3 more children and a dog, easily, and still, have space. The Toyota Sienna minivan would be perfect for a long road trip where everyone was needing to pack big suitcases and have enough legroom to function.

I also loved how it was so simple to get in and out of. The doors opened so swiftly and easily and the boys could just literally step down and get out. Then, with the push of a button, the doors would close and secure without any other effort. How awesome is that? Long gone are the days of juggling groceries and books and trying to grab the door to shut it as well.

It handles like a car

I’m 100% serious. Even though the minivan is larger, it doesn’t feel that way. I was amazed at how it handled and turned easily and even when I was parking in a parking space, I never had any issues. (This is one of my pet peeves about bigger cars because I always feel like I’m driving a bus!)

I felt safe inside

This is a big one on our list. We felt safe while we were inside the minivan. And while it has great safety ratings, we also just loved that secure feeling it gave us as well. We didn’t notice a lot of road noise either and we were able to communicate easily with one another because the interior was so good at keeping out any type of outside noises.

I also loved the price point as well as it came in under $35,000…for a brand new minivan! You just don’t find vehicles of that quality for that price, anywhere!
