Kid Review
Most of you know by now that we like to get our kids perspective when it comes to family movies, especially Spongebob Squarepants!!! My kids watch the shows and even sometimes on repeat. So when we had the opportunity to not only get an advanced preview of Paramount + new Spongebob Squarepants “Sponge on the Run” and their new Spongebob Squarepants tv series “Kamp Koral” we were super excited! We loved how the movie ends up tying into the series as you get to see a bit of the gang going through their younger years at “Kamp Koral”.
The best part is that both the movie and series feature our old time favorite voice actors Tom Kenny (SpongeBob), Bill Fagerbakke (Patrick), Rodger Bumpass (Squidward), Clancy Brown (Mr. Krabs), Carolyn Lawrence (Sandy) and Mr. Lawrence (Plankton) reprising their iconic roles.
Q & A
Q: Who is your favorite character in the movie or the series?
G: My favorite has always been SpongeBob, I mean every time he laughs I get a kick out of it. I like that Spongebob always has a positive attitude and that nothing can stop him or get in his way, he also makes the best crabby patties. I have never had a rabbi patty but it looks amazing!!
S: Patrick is my favorite because he makes me laugh all the time with all the funny stuff he does. He is best friends with Spongebob like me and Geo, plus I like starfishes.
Q: What happens to Gary in the movie?
G: Well I was really surprised when Gary went missing, I mean I didn’t think anyone would want a snail but apparently Poseidon wanted him. Spongebob its super worried about his best friend that’s when him and Patrick start their adventure together! Along the way Mr. Crabs, Sandy, and Squidward help out although I think my favorite help for them was definitely Sage.
S: Yea Gary was Snail-napped!!
Q: What was the best part of the movie?
G: I really enjoy when they get to the inferno Saloon and they meet Sage and get the challenge coin but they go into the Saloon and they sing and dance with Snoop Dogg. Hard to decide because I really liked it all!
S: Mine was when Spongebob, and Patrick finally get to Poseidon and they get to have a singing and dance number. I always like the singing and dancing.
Q: Why are you excited about Kamp Koral?
G: I really like seeing what Spongebob and the gang were like as kids like me! It was really fun seeing them all small and meeting each other. I was bummed that we only got to see two episodes I wanted more!!
S: Yea I like seeing everyone small and like how they go to camp!
