The Gospel of Mark is an amazing movie, and with Easter around the corner, it is a wonderful movie to watch with friends, families, or your church family.
My husband and I watched the movie, and I have to see we were both impressed by how the movie was made. It is literally narrated from the Bible itself and goes through the biblical events in The Gospel of Mark.
The movie is narrated in English, but you can also hear them speaking in Aramaic.
We have seen a lot of different Bible movies all, depicting the life of Jesus; all that he went through until his crucifixion.
However, in The Gospel of Mark, I like the fact that you can also see the descriptions of Jesus performing miracles, come to life.
The movie took 5 years to make, and you can tell they did their research to make this as real and authentic to the bible as they possibly could. Lionsgate and The Lumo Project also released The Gospel of John, which was the first installment of the series and filmed in Morocco.
The series is a great way to lead a great bible study that leads up to Easter, and shows a great picture of what the New Testament is like. For a youth group, this would be great since most teens, like seeing live action and not just scripture.
You can find The Gospel of John on DVD at Walmart, Digital HD and On Demand. It was released on March 14, 2017, and we have partnered up with The Review Wire, and The Lumo Project to give one lucky reader a chance to win a copy!
