I always talk about the shows in Branson, Missouri. I’m convinced if the shows weren’t there, the town wouldn’t be what it is today! One of my favorite shows, from visiting Branson, Missouri is without a doubt the The Ozark Mountain Christmas Show at the Andy Williams Moon River Theater.
Noted as the most popular show in Branson!
I will say that a lot of shows in Branson, Missouri say they are a favorite of the community, but the Andy Williams Ozark Mountain Christmas Show isn’t lying. It’s been around for 27 seasons! During this show, you’ll see The Lennon Sisters, on select dates. But you’ll also get your fair share of seeing other amazing acts. Some of those acts include:
- Great variety
- Singers
- Dancers
- prancing reindeer
- the Moon River Orchestra,
- St. Nick himself…all performing your favorite holiday songs
- The Lennon Granddaughters
- Britain’s Got Talent singing sensation Charlie Green
- Featuring the championship ice skating of The Ice Angels
I loved the variety of the show, especially around the holidays! I felt like the show was creative, never boring, and the acts make the show!
A Little History of the Show and Theater
It’s always fun when you get a little history behind the show. Can you believe that The Andy Williams Performing Arts Center & Theater opened on May 1, 1992. Although, it may not seem that long ago, it was over 27 years ago! For a show to be around that long is commendable!
Andy Williams himself helped to design and build the theater, which is still as popular today as it was when it was first built. You’ll find that the building is around 48,000 square feet! That is HUGE!
You will find an amazing lobby area when you first walk in. It’s beautiful with displays of artwork and a museum feel. When you enter the auditorium, you will see that it’s nothing but stunning. It’s the perfect place to host live performances and keep fans on their toes!
So, whether you’re visiting around Christmas time or you plan on coming another time during the year, the Andy Williams Moon River Theater will get you excited. I would personally visit The Ozark Mountain Christmas Show, but there are also other performances throughout the year that you don’t want to miss!
