I was invited to a semi-expense paid trip to Branson, courtesy of Stone Castle Hotel, to attend the #BloggingBranson Event in exchange for my coverage. No other compensation was provided. All views shared are completely my own.
Are you ready to experience something different this Christmas season? I decided that this year, I needed to experience something out of the ordinary. We are constantly doing the same traditions, this was the year to spice things up a bit! An Ozark Mountain Christmas was just what I needed.
If you have never explored Branson, around this time of year, you should know how beautiful it is. I was in awe of all the natural beauty, Christmas decor, and lights. It’s almost as if it’s a holiday wonderland for all who seek the Christmas spirit. I want to walk you through some of the stuff you can do to experience An Ozark Mountain Christmas.
First Stop: Christmas Lights
You know, I have seen some amazing Christmas lights in my time, but the Christmas Lights at an Ozark Mountain Christmas are unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. You will experience nothing but the most amazing lights in this part of the world around the holiday season. If Christmas lights don’t make you feel like you’re celebrating Christmas, then what does? The best place to me to see a magical Christmas is Silver Dollar City – If you want to have fun, you need to head here.
Plenty of Shopping to Do
When it comes to Christmas, part of the fun is the shopping! An Ozark Mountain Christmas means lots and lots of shopping is involved. You can window shop or open up your wallet and buy as much as you’d like. I loved seeing all of the stores and what they had to offer this holiday season.
One of a Kind Experiences
You see, an Ozark Mountain Christmas isn’t something that only part of Branson does, it something that everyone participates in. Even the attractions get heavily involved in the Christmas spirit like Dolly’s Stampede – If you see one show, while in Branson, make sure this one is it. It’s fast paced and a whole lotta fun.
Branson Tracks – Bring the whole family here and spend time going around the tracks. Go-karts, ferris wheel, and so much more awaits you here.
Showboat Belle– One of my favorite experiences was going on the Showboat. The views you get of Table Rock Lake are one of a kind especially when the sun is setting, this is great little adventure for the whole family.
Branson Stone Castle
I got the privilege of staying at the Stone Castle Hotel, while I was in Branson. This is located on Green Mountain Drive. The Stone Castle is so close to all of the attractions in Branson. They also have plenty of accommodations to ensure you’re comfy while there. If you’re bringing the whole family, make sure you check out the family suites. There are also standard rooms, themed rooms, and fancy rooms with jetted tub suites. I mean, you couldn’t ask for more when staying somewhere on vacation.
Check Out the Polar Express
Who doesn’t love The Polar Express? I know this was one of my favorite parts of An Ozark Mountain Christmas. Taking a ride on The Polar Express Train is a highlight of this Christmas season that you don’t want to miss out on.
All the Special Events
An Ozark Mountain Christmas wouldn’t even be what it is without all the special events happening in Branson. A few of the events include:
- Veterans Homecoming Week
- Adoration Celebration
- Parades
You can get access to all the festivals and events happening around this time of year, right here. There are tons of events, you’ll have to pick some of your favorites!
Special Shows in Branson
Branson, Missouri is known for all their special shows, especially around the holiday season. While I was down there, I got to see some really cool shows. Here are the shows I saw, but there are lots more to take advantage of!
- Clay Cooper Theatre – A fun show featuring Clay Cooper and several other fun acts!
- BaldKnobbers – A fun musical show that everyone needs to see while here.
- The Hughes Brothers – A music show that you don’t want to miss out on while in Branson. They have great singing voices and I can’t wait to hear them again.
- The Andy Williams Ozark Mountain Christmas Show – This show was wonderful. You’ll want to get tickets to see multiple artists perform at the Andy Williams theater, including Jimmiy Osmond and Voices of Glory (America’s Got Talent).
Holiday Treats
One thing you will never have to worry about in Branson is going hungry, the variety of food is extensive. However some of my favorite places to eat include the Branson IMAX all of their restaurants are wonderful! My favorite though is Florentina’s they have those amazing Chicken Alfredo nachos!
A new found place that is sure to entertain the kids for hours is Pasghetti’s they have a ferris wheel inside the restaurant, and you will feel like you’re in Italy!
Don’t worry, there is plenty to see, do, shop, and eat, all while experiencing Christmas in the Ozark Mountains. I truly think Branson is wonderful this time of year and I hope you’ll take the time to visit and explore Branson, Missouri for An Ozark Mountain Christmas.
