Recently I had the opportunity to travel to Montana to experience the all-new 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. Now you all know we review different types of cars, SUVs, and trucks, and while you all think most of these SUVs are basically the same thing. I am here to tell you there were things about this new Pathfinder that I absolutely fell in love with.
Riding in Style
So you just had a baby, have more than three kids, or decided you wanted to hit the road and be a nomad (take me with you!) In the mix, you are contemplating exactly how you are going to accomplish this with the current car you have or are contemplating getting a new one.
As parents, we have all looked for that one car that encompasses most of the things I listed above. For us, it was something that allowed for a lot of conveniences mixed with we still want to look part of the cool gang. Considering how we are being called “Geriatric Millenials” I have to tell you the days of the Mini Van and aka “Soccer Parents” drives are out the door.
Ample Space
Give me something that has style, where I look good while I drive, has enough space for eight people, and has a towing capability of 6000lbs, and with the push of a button allows entry to the third row of seats. And you get the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder. Now I remember growing up with the Nissan Pathfinder 35 years ago, listen don’t hold your breath trying to figure out how old I am. There were a couple of changes through the years however the engineers at Nissan created an SUV that in my opinion has everything I want and need in a car.
So let’s break down my top favorite things that the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder has that I love.
Seating up to eight people you have the capability now of hitting a side bottom on the side of the seat to get to the third row. The best part is that now we no longer need to remove the car seat to get back there. Can I get a hallelujah!! The fact that I don’t need to struggle for 15 minutes taking the car seat out or putting it in is a lifesaver.
Under console storage, and above glovebox storage 16.6 cubic feet of storage space! Listen as parents how many times do we clean out the car of an abyss of stuffed toys or crayons that keep reappearing every day?? For me, it’s all the time, and while I try to tell myself that buying the organizing bags to put behind the seats will keep things clean it never happens. So I am happy this SUV offers ample space to store multiple items.
Whether we want to admit it or not Dad rarely wants to be the center of attention in a Mini Van he would rather pull up to a campsite or playdate in a sleek ride maybe while pulling an Airstream behind him. Now if you need some help convincing the hubster that you want this SUV here are some things to help change his mind. The 2022 Nissan Pathfinder has a V6 284 horsepower 259lb torque 9-speed transmission which is perfect for camping, and a 6000lb towing capacity trailer sway control.
Say What?
The new all-wheel-drive features seven modes of driving including Sport, Eco, and Snow and it has 20mm wider tires. New captain’s chairs or three across car seats EZ flex seating and rear door intelligence. Pro pilot linked to the navigation systems read speed limits on the highways and alerts you via fun Pac-Man sounds. Have I sparked your inner Geek?
Now you might be thinking by now this sounds great and all but is it going to cost me a fortune? The answer is no I have to say I was very surprised by the price points on this vehicle.
- It starts at $34,560 for a base front-wheel-drive S and ranges up to $49,240 for an all-wheel-drive Platinum model.
Now this article just covers the surface of what this bad boy can do so I suggest you head to a Nissan dealer and test it out for yourself, trust me you will not be disappointed!
