Roads trips can be quite exhausting especially if they are very uncomfortable. They can also be stressful if you are traveling with smaller kids or if you are on a specific budget when it comes to the amount of gas money you have to spend.
When we were looking at cars to pick from to go on our recent trip up to Gatlinburg, Tennessee, we chose the Nissan Sentra because of the features. One of the features we liked was that the trunk had ample space to fit all of our luggage. As parents, you know when you travel with kids and even teenagers; you are packing for an entire month! As you can see, our luggage fit great. We had about 10 bags total. Even with the amount of luggage we had, there was still a bit of room for some more knick knacks.
Another feature that I really liked was that the seats were quite comfortable and the inside of the car was spacious. My husband is tall and needs a decent amount of leg room and he was very comfortable on the long drive. We also had two big car seats we needed to put in the car and we were able to secure them in the backseat with no problem. I was even comfortable during the time I had to sit in the backseat between the kids during our trip.
One of my husband’s favorite features was the ability to change the car to two different settings, either Eco or Sport. We used the Eco feature during our drive and did not see a difference in how the car drove. When we used the sport feature, the RPMs on the car shift a lot quicker. It’s almost like driving a sports car. The sport feature is great while driving on the highway.
The best thing we liked about the Sentra was the amount of highway miles per tank. We got about 37 MPG, which is awesome on a road trip because we only had to fill up twice on our way to Gatlinburg, and twice on our way home to Florida. If you are on a budget, this is a great car. We only spent about $25 to fill the tank every time.
The Sentra also features the Nissan Intelligent key which senses your approach and lets you open the doors or the trunk, or start the engine, without ever taking out the key. The Nissan Sentra also features a Rear View Monitor. When you put the car in reverse, a color camera discreetly mounted on the rear of the vehicle helps you see what’s directly behind you via your center stack display.
We are very happy with the Nissan Sentra SV 2018 and will definitely choose it again for future trips. Smooth drive, great gas mileage, comfortable, and spacious. Good choice!!
