When it comes to cars, I like room, speed, safety, and new…and not necessarily in that order. When I found out that we were going to test drive the 2021 Chevy Trailblazer RS, I couldn’t wait to get behind the wheel. I’ve had my eye on this SUV for quite some time and have heard nothing but stellar reviews.

And spoiler alert – the reviews were legit. My family was literally begging me to keep this car after driving it for just one day. While I’m still contemplating, I’ll let you know all the reasons that I love the Trailblazer to convince you to possibly own one of your own!

While I could easily say that I loved “everything” about the Chevy Trailblazer, there are a few things in particular that I felt stood out. (and yes, I really did love everything about this vehicle – it handled like a dream!)

Great gas mileage

We drove the Trailblazer from Los Angeles CA to San Fransisco CA which is a solid 6-hour drive, and I was amazed by how well we did with the gas mileage I filled up twice. When then drove from San Fransisco Back to LA, on the way back we took the Pacific Coast Hwy, and again the Trailblazer did not disappoint.

It’s no secret that gas prices are soaring right now and it just feels painful to have to fill up at the pump. Being able to average close to 30 MPG on the highway is amazing – and I loved literally never having to fill up at all.

We’re a busy family so being on the go a lot is true…and I hate having to stop often to fill up with gas and watch my bank account go down as often. With the Trailblazer, it gets better gas mileage than most small cars!

We all had space

No one likes to be crowded in a car together…no one. And with all the room that we had in the Trailblazer, I never heard the kids scream to stop touching each other once. (Amazing, right?!) This was perfect for our road trip around California from Napa Valley to Santa Barbara nothing better than being able to enjoy the sunroof for most of the drives.

I even had my husband hop in the back seat and stretch out his legs. He was also in awe that he could extend and stretch and still never felt cramped at all.

It has a 5-star safety rating

Safety is always at the top of my list. I don’t want to have to compromise on that ever. And since I’m in charge of the safety of everyone in the car, I want to know that the car is equipped and ready to handle anything that could happen.

With a 5-star safety rating, I loved knowing that we were well taken care of. This gives me peace of mind in knowing that my most precious cargo is well taken care of.

As you can tell, the Trailblazer is a head-turner and a great family vehicle all in one. I just love that it’s easy to drive while also being super fun to drive as well.

I also found that the interior and exterior was super sharp looking and very, very sleek.

Overall, this hit all the points that I’d be looking for when shopping for a new car. Great gas mileage? Check. Safety features? Check. Room and design? Check and check.
