Ingredients to Make Churros
- 1 cup of white flour
- 1 cup of water
- ¼ tsp salt
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2.5 tbsp oil
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
Directions to Make Churros
In a nonstick saucepan bring the water, salt, sugar, and oil to a simmer over medium heat.
Remove from heat and gently stir in the flour until it forms a soft ball of dough
Preheat your air fryer
Using a star tip pipe the dough into the air fryer basket.
Use a knife to cut the dough if needed.
Air fry for 7 minutes stopping the machine in the middle to shake.
Mix sugar and cinnamon and immediately coat the churros once done air frying.
What is the texture of churros like?
They’re just the best. Churros tend to have a crisp outer crust and a super soft inner crust that gives them just the best taste and texture, ever.
Can you freeze churros for later?
I’m going to have to say no on this one. You can prep ahead and get the churro mixture made but if you have any leftovers, they’re not going to freeze up all that well.
Instead of wasting them, why not give a few of the extras to family and friends in your area instead? They’ll love the thoughtful gift and you’ll love giving someone else a tasty treat, too.
What are some fun dipping sauces for churros?
Melted chocolate is always a good idea or you can dip them in Nutella, peanut butter, and even some whipped cream.
Now it’s your turn….what are you going to dip your churros in? Or are you going to eat them plain?
