White Chocolate Caramel Hot Cocoa Bombs
I bet you’ve seen these all over the web but I like to think that this one is a tad bit different. I’m pretty obsessed with the fact that it’s white chocolate and there is a whole caramel on the inside that just melts into your steaming hot cup of cocoa.
It’s seriously so good – I might be making this for myself way more often than for the kids.
Ingredients needed to make these White Chocolate Caramel Hot Cocoa Bombs
- 2 cups of white chocolate chips
- 6 caramel candies
- 1 cup of hot chocolate mix
- 1 cup of mini marshmallows
- Sphere mold
How to make White Chocolate Caramel Hot Cocoa Bombs
Melt the white chocolate chips.
Using a spoon or small spatula scoop a small amount into the silicone molds. Drag the white chocolate up the sides and place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes. You want to have the chocolate spread thin, but not so thin that you can see the mold when done. Remove and fill in any spots you missed. Place back into the freezer to set for 5-10 minutes.
Remove molds from the freezer. Even out the half-circle on a warm pan so that the tops are not ragged.
On one side of the sphere, place in two tbsp of hot chocolate mix top with mini marshmallows. You can “overfill” the sphere a bit. The marshmallows can come up about an inch above the mold.
Place a caramel on top of the marshmallows
Warm the other half of the sphere so that the edges are warm and slightly melted and place it immediately onto the other half of the sphere. Press gently and hold the sphere there for about 15-20 seconds. Place back into the freezer for 5 minutes to fully set. If you find that your mold isn’t sticking you can run your finger along the sides with some melted chocolate.
When you are ready to use place it in a mug and pour hot milk on top and watch the marshmallows pop out! Stir and enjoy. For a lighter option, you can use hot water, it just won’t be as rich.
See how simple and delicious this recipe is? You’re going to have a blast making this up and enjoying every single sip!
